In May 2006, at the AFIRE meeting in Dublin, Ted moderated a panel of leading Irish-American institutional investors in U.S. real estate. The panel’s topic was: “There is life west of the Hudson – Why European Investors Should Look At Hot Markets in the U.S. Sunbelt and West Coast”.
 Ted Leary received the prestigious "Sponsors' Award" for his significant contributions to the real estate investment industry. The event was the 12th Annual UCLA Real Estate Finance and Investment Conference held October 25 2005, at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
